History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Aelar was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Uthemar is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
