History: Laucian was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Wizard, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Wizard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Elven conditions. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
