History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Elves in Varis's homeland. Varis decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.
