History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Varis fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A freak accident while working with his Painter father left him crippled. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying sister.
