History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He now owns his own business.

History: Born in the west to a Barkeep, Heian learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He now owns his own business.

His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. When Varis reached his early adolescence his Elf father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Varis was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the brigands.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
