However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the goblins.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He is an amazing painter.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He worked as a nervous Laborer and found it very stressful. He's also a talented Unemployed, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Laborer responsibilities is difficult; and wants to work out more often

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. Only to laugh say gotcha and shoot double pistol fingers at the fooled target.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. While he appears to be a normal Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
