History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Rolen was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Rolen's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the north. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
