History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Varis embodies much of what other species detest in the Elves. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Varis was born the youngest of three triplets. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Varis was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.
