History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Nim was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the goblins.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. During his travels, Aelar and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Aelar discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Aelar fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
