However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Carter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Korfel took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up sword and armor he uses now. He bought a sword and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.
