History: The child of a Carter, who enjoyed hunting, Quarion was taken on many hunting expeditions. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Quarion alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. He found a children's book about a Elf Wizard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
