Personality: Paelias is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Healer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Paelias was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He now mingles about in high society.
