History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Thervan was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, orcs burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying south to reunite his family. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Map Maker for hire.

He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Sellsword they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Bricklayer, and he later adopted a second son.
