History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing music.

History: He comes from a rich western family. Through the years after Varis was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Varis's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Ivellios was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. After a long history of fighting, Ivellios and his spouse have recently divorced.
