He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: He is a pot bellied northern man with a big hulking figure and broad shoulders. He tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with his rolled up shirt sleeves this gives him a very relaxed look. He has no hair. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Varis abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He has never given up on his writing dream.
