Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He was granted martial powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He got into the Ruler business at a young age. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
