History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Rolen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 11 years.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and wants to open a new tavern
