Description: Dark and lean, he is a relatively plain man. He wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. His head has been shaved. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: Varis hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of orcs may trigger it at times.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. His parents were killed by orcs in a raid when he was still a young child. The orcs captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Varis was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the orcs.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

His brown hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. His amber eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: Gennal was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Wizard, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Wizard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Gennal abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.
