History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. Through the years after Varis was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Varis's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this southern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: Arannis was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
