History: Arannis was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Animal Trainer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and a deep hatred of gnolls

His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job.
