History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
