History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Gennal was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he loathes his own lifestyle
