Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. Rael enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Rael was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered west to less war torn lands. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Aust grew up listening to his mother's many stories. A freak accident while working with his Marshal mother left him crippled. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: To pay off his debts; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Description: A plain young-adult man, he dresses like a well dressed Bowyer does. His white hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: He got into the Bowyer business at a young age. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Bowyer. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Expand his business; and wants to open a new tavern
