When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He found a children's book about a Elf Wizard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: Born to a Hunter, his father struggled to pay the bills. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and balancing his hectic life and new dyer responsibilities is difficult
