Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he wears an entirely yellow suit with brown socks and a vest with buckled shoes. He wears a small hat to cover his moderate length auburn hair. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: Varis is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Ostracized due to the divine powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Elves became a terror of the countryside. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
