History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

He is tall, broad shouldered and powerfully built. His chestnut hair is thinning but still full. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines blue.

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. Arannis is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He got into the Carter business at a young age. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Carter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
