History: Paelias hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. His parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when he was still a young child. The gnolls captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Paelias was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Bather for hire.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of brigands may trigger it at times.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. After a long history of fighting, Arannis and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He is content; and to find somewhere to settle down
