After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He has always had a great fascination with Elven culture. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Rael was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and to reunite with his absent mother

Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Shepherd work with an outfit from a few towns over. Shepherd work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Shepherd and was forced into it by his family; and further expansion of business
