History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Korfel was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Korfel alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is a Miller first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Raer was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Miller. He's also a talented Dilettante, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and sabotage a competitor
