History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Ahvain was born on a far southern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Soapmaker. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when he was still a young child. The gnolls captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Rolen was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.
