History: Born in the south to a Painter, Rael learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A freak accident while working with his Sage father left him crippled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Naeris was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Layabout.

Personality: This man loves poetry and to teach people poetry more than just about anything. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.
