History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Theren alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. While he appears to be a normal Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.
