Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Elf in existence. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Rael was born on a far eastern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Bookbinder. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Bookbinder responsibilities is difficult; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
