It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Beiro embodies much of what other species detest in the Elves. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has achieved small success as a Sailor.

Description: His right thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. He has a very tight haircut. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Uthemar was born in the south. At a young age he loved to build and create. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Merchant they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Cook, and he later adopted a second son.
