When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Hunter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
