History: Born to a Tailor, his mother struggled to pay the bills. A gifted student he started as a Tailor, but he got bored and became a Locksmith. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Description: He is lean but muscular and wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. He sports a long white beard, and similarly colored long hair. His eyes are a pleasant gray.

Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Varis took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up morningstar and armor he uses now. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
