He has a small bristly mustache and wavy brown hair. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: He was born in the north. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Varis took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up shortbow and armor he uses now. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Halimath is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Through the years after Halimath was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Halimath's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
