History: Hadarai lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: Rael lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Rael alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

Personality: This man loves painting and to teach people painting more than just about anything. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Body Guard arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He's also a talented Ploughman, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
