History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Carrie was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Carrie's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
