The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Engraver for hire.

His mother taught him the rudiments of the Bowyer arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He feels threatened by others; and he has money and likes to spend it
