History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother
