History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Theriatis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He married young, but lost his spouse to giants. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Theriatis hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his painting career. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
