Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. Hadarai enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born in the north. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Hadarai alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many gnolls want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
