History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Through the years after Laucian was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Laucian's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.
