History: Varis hails from a village terrorized by brigands. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with painting. He constantly tries to fill his life with painting. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing painting.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
