History: He comes from a rich northern family. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside his partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. Through the years after Berrian was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Berrian's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Rael was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, brigands burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying south to reunite his family. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it
