Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Varis is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Varis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Fisher they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Mayor, and he later adopted a second son.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this northern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he is wracked by social anxiety

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. Energy wise he seems alert and responsive.

History: Born in the south to a Doctor, Uthemar learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has worked as a Doctor like his father before him.
