History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Paelias was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Doctor arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
