Personality: Aust speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of goblins may trigger it at times.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Aust never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west.
