History: Varis was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
